What is the rink made of?
Our ice rink is 60ft x 120ft and made of REAL ice! 
 
Is Western Wonderland open on Christmas?
Western Wonderland will be closed on Christmas Day (12/25/23)
 
Is Western Wonderland open on New Years Eve and Day?
Yes! You can even join us in your swim suit on New Years Day for our Polar Bear Skate from 11:00am - 1:00pm! 
 
What are ticket prices?
11:00am - 4:00pm - $10.00/skater
4:00pm - close - $15.00/skater
Our walking Trail of Lights and Holiday Market are free
 
Is there a group ticket discount?
Yes! For groups of 15+ please call us at 512-894-2390 to get information on group pricing and to purchase.
 
How do I purchase tickets?
All tickets this year will be purchased at the door! 
 
Are there Public Restrooms available?
Yes, there are public restrooms onsite right near the rink. 
 
Do you have skates on site?
Yes. Skate rentals are included in your admission ticket price.
 
What skate sizes do you have?
If you can walk you can skate! We had adjustable skates that fit on to shoes for the littles and our sizes range all the way up to a men's size 15. 
 
May I bring my own skates?
You may wear your own skates, but admission price is the same price regardless if you bring your own skates.
 
What is All Ability Skate?
All Ability Skate is every Sunday from 10:00am - 11:00am before the rink opens to the general public. This hour provides a welcoming environment for those with physical or developmental challenges to enjoy the rink. This hour will have fewer skaters and will have music suitable for sensitive listeners. 
 
Is there a fee to watch?
No, visitors are welcome to watch their friends or family members while they are skating. However, anyone who chooses to skate must pay admission and sign a waiver.
 
Are dogs allowed on the trail?
Yes, all well behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to join us on the trail at Western Wonderland. Dogs must remain leashed and with a human at all times.
 
Is there a limit to how long I can skate?
Admission tickets are good for approximately 60 minutes of skating. *Skate time is approximate and may include any necessary time required for ice repair and cleaning.
 
Do I have to wear skates on the ice?
Yes, only ice skates are allowed on the ice surface. Exceptions may be made for adaptive/sensory skate times and staff.
 
Is there an age/height requirement?
There is no age requirement, but our skate sizes only range up to a men's size 15. For the littles though, if they can walk, they can skate!
 
Can I rent the Ice Skating Rink for a private party?

What about my personal items?
The City of Dripping Springs is not responsible for lost, broken, or stolen items. Ice rink staff will not be allowed to store personal items for patrons. There are public cubbies onsite to utilize. 
 
What if it’s raining?
The rink is under cover and is rain or shine! Our walking Trail of Lights is not under cover but takes place on a crushed granite trail, walk at your own risk.
 
What type of clothing should I wear?
The ice rink is under cover but not in a climate controlled space, so you should plan accordingly to the current weather conditions. We do recommend always wearing socks and gloves regardless of the weather conditions.
